Bamboo Mountain is a county in NW Hubei, China. Sometimes the turquoise is designated by smaller mines, and sometimes just the region of ‘Hubei’. These stones say they are from the Bamboo Mountain region…I’m not sure how many smaller mines they have. A Chinese vender told me that the Chinese really only value solid blue Turquoise, so they sell off the material/stones with webbing or dark patterns. That’s good for us….bring on the patterns!
These stones measure almost ¾ “ in length and the earrings hang 1 ¾ “ from the top of the earwires. Set in sterling silver with sterling earwires.
