What is jasper? It’s an opaque chalcedony or type of quartz that comes in a wide variety of colors. I am no expert, but jaspers are well loved and have been polished for centuries to be used in jewelry, sculptures and other decorative pieces.
Willow Creek Jasper comes from about 15 miles north of Eagle, Idaho. It’s found in the middle of giant thundereggs that can be as large as 10’ in diameter! Lapidary work is insane…how did people find this!!?? Willow Creek is a porcelain jasper and is considered one of the most beautiful jaspers from the USA.
This special stone is almost 1” wide and hangs 1” from the top of the bail. Set in sterling silver on an 18” sterling chain. 3 hearts cut out on the back for fun <3
